Nashawtuc Road is
nestled at the entrance to Nashawtuc Hill at the corner
of Nashawtuc Road and Squaw Sachem Trail. The sloping
front yard features a stone wall with stepping stone
paths to the street and up into a rock garden with
antique stone bench. The rear of the property abuts the
wooded Squaw Sachem Trail. It is large, flat, and
provides a winter view of the Sudbury River, which is
especially lovely in the shimmer of the morning sun. The
land area is .93 acres. Click

RESIDENCE The entrance to this newly constructed custom
home provides a welcoming front porch which runs the
length of the house. Its tall tapered columns support a
covered porch over the entry door and extend to support
the pergola to the left and right. The architectural
style recalls ideas of architects Charles and Henry
Greene and Frank Lloyd Wright, while using materials
which are vernacular to New England. The house has five
bedrooms and four and one half baths in 4200 square
feet. Large cottage style windows bring in light
throughout.

LOCATION
Concord is an historic town founded in 1635. It saw the
birth of the American Revolution in the 1700s and, in the
1800s, provided home to many American authors, the most famous
of which were Hawthorne, Alcott, Emerson, and Thoreau. A
picturesque town center offers quality shopping and several
fine restaurants, while also being a short walk to nature
trails, rivers, and an abundance of conservation land. A
commuter rail service provides frequent 25-minute service to
Cambridge (35 minutes to Boston).
The word “Nashawtuc”
is Native American for “between two
rivers”. Nashawtuc Hill is surrounded by the Assabet and
Sudbury Rivers, which join together at “Egg Rock” to become
the Concord River. A sunny summer day will find these rivers
full of kayaks and canoes. Comprised of about 30 houses, the
Hill was developed around 1900 and is characterized by quiet
refinement, while being only steps to the town center and the
commuter rail.
